How to Use

Read the Chemical Label First

Before mixing, always read the pesticide, herbicide, or fertiliser label for the correct dilution rate, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and any mixing restrictions.

Mix the Solution

Fill the tank about halfway with clean water. Add the measured chemical dose, then top up to the required volume. Never pour concentrate directly into an empty tank — always add water first to avoid splashing.

Pressurise the Tank

Close the lid firmly and pump the handle 15–20 times until you feel resistance. This builds adequate pressure for a steady spray. Do not over-pressurise — stop pumping once firm resistance is felt.

Select the Nozzle Pattern

Twist the nozzle tip to choose: cone pattern for foliar spraying on leaves, or fan pattern for herbicide application close to the ground. Adjust spray width to match row spacing.

Spray at the Right Distance

Hold the nozzle 30–40 cm from the target surface. Walk at a steady pace so coverage overlaps slightly between passes. Spray in the early morning (before 9 AM) or late afternoon to avoid evaporation and wind drift.

Clean After Every Use

Empty any remaining mixture safely (do not pour into waterways). Rinse the tank three times with clean water, pumping and spraying each rinse through the nozzle. Remove and rinse the filter screen. Store the sprayer with the lid open to allow drying.

⚠ Always Wear PPE

Wear gloves, long-sleeved clothing, eye protection, and a face mask when mixing and spraying any agricultural chemical. Wash hands and face immediately after use.

⚠ Avoid Spraying in Wind

Do not spray when wind speed is above 15 km/h. Drift carries chemicals onto non-target crops, water sources, and people nearby.

⚠ Never Mix Chemicals in the Tank

Always pre-mix chemicals in a separate bucket and test for compatibility before adding to the sprayer tank. Incompatible mixes can block the nozzle or create dangerous fumes.

⚠ Safe Storage

Store the empty sprayer away from food, children, and direct sunlight. Never store a loaded sprayer — always empty and rinse after every session.

Pro Tips for Better Results

Add a sticking agent (adjuvant) to the mix when spraying waxy or hairy leaf surfaces — it helps the chemical stick and penetrate rather than rolling off.
Re-pressurise every 5–7 minutes during use to maintain consistent spray output and prevent drips.
For herbicide application, switch to the fan nozzle and keep the wand low (15–20 cm from soil) to minimise drift onto nearby crops.
Label your sprayer clearly if you dedicate it to one chemical type (e.g., herbicide only) — residue from herbicides can damage crops if used interchangeably.
Calibrate your sprayer at least once per season: spray plain water over a measured area for one minute and measure the output to verify your application rate matches the label recommendation.
